And just like that it’s week 4 of the beginners pottery follow-on course. This week made mandala bowls. We learnt how to use a hump mould and how to create pattern and decoration using slip trailing and painting techniques to apply colour. A huge well done to everyone…. Beautiful work! Such a brilliant night at the Walronds in Cullompton for the beginners pottery follow-on course. This week we developed our slab-building skills and made a variety of outcomes. We had clocks, fairy houses, planters, jugs, vases and a butter dish. A huge well done to everyone who came. It was a lot to squeeze into 3 hours. Really pleased with how this gold glaze has turned out on my seed pod ornaments. I raw glazed them to cut down on my use of electricity.
